Bewilderment Arts is a growing international family of earth-honouring artists, performers, activists, educators, ecologists, land stewards, somatic practitioners and community weavers.
Our offerings re-enchant an autonomous reconnection to human and beyond-human kin: through slow, explorative + accessible projects, workshops, retreats, performances + rituals.
Our diverse practices aim to restore a sustainable + integrated belonging to body, spirit, community, culture + place. In polycrisis and uncertainty, we believe that leaning into community, is a small + achievable step towards collective healing.
Holly Rowan (they/them) is the initiator of Bewilderment Arts. They trapse across performance, community arts and education and build bridges for othered souls to walk home to their bodies, creativity + nature.
20 colourful years of performing has turned Holly into a cultural shapeshifter - a poet, dancer, writer, clown + folk singer. A creative director, cultural critic + arts educator. Their work is brave, innovative + playful. They specialise in forging connections with unlikely collaborators + starting innovative creative projects from scratch. Transforming dissonance into connection is their deep passion.
Holly has 10 years experience as an educator. They have worked in outdoor education, forest schools, local gyms + within the disabled + homeless communities. Witnessing the cracks in modernity has made Holly determined to seek out more collaborative ways of facilitating, caring, learning + relating. As a freelance educator, Holly is slowly building a web of eco-cosmic, creative workshops, courses, retreats + 1:1 offerings.
Training as a USUI Reiki practitioner at age 22, for over a decade, Holly has been working with people’s internal healing systems through hands on + distant reiki healing. They have received reiki since they were 7 years old + couldn’t possibly imagine life without energetic support.
